Written for the Singing Girls of Texas, this is the first choral piece I wrote. I sang in choirs growing up and it struck me how many different composers each wrote settings of this traditional, Latin text. All incredibly beautiful and so different from each other. Using the same canvas, this piece is written in a chorale style with emphasized dissonances between the voices. Ideally, this piece is performed in the back of a hall or the choir gallery of a large space.
Nico sells this choral score at $1.40 a copy in licensed sets of 20 ($28 total) in an attempt to discourage illegal copying.
